There is now a new Facebook group for the Skids recently set up after the last one misteriously vanished into the depths of deep internet space!
Joining the group is easy, simply visit the group page and look for the link near the top right hand side which will let you ask to join the group.
Once you have joined you can also add your Facebook friends to the group by clicking the “Add friends to group” link again near the top right hand side.

A memorial fund and project to get a bench and plaque in Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline in memory of local legend Stuart Adamson is underway.
Spearheaded by Gwenda Matthews there is now a Facebook campaign to raise awareness and support for the memorial fund project

Gwenda has said “On my recent visit to Dunfermline I was shocked to find not a mention or recollection of Stuart Adamsons existance he was such a truly talented and amazing guy he deserves to be recognised and we as fan’s want to pay our respects to him ! Please help our cause by contributing to this page and let our voices be heard !!”
“This Year Being the 10th Anniversary of this mans passing, It Seems The Time is More Than Right To Give This Music LEGEND A Memorial in His Hometown of Dunfermline, So That His Fans, Friends & Peers all around the world Can Remember Him….”
A Paypal fund has also been set up so that fans can contribute to the £1,000 pounds to make this happen.

Published 13/08/2010The Official Skids website has undergone a makeover and is now sporting a new look.
Many thanks to Smid and other Skids fans for providing feedback and content for the new website.
There are still some new features being added in and all content will be updated over the coming weeks.
Coming soon :
New Skids forums, updated and more user friendly.
New gallery section, previous images will be added to this soon.
Updated discography pages.
Media section with featured music and video.

Excellent photos of The Skids and some cracking photos of Bruce and Jamie

More photos have been added to the Skids Media section, in the Skids Images Galleries, under the Skids live section there are now hundreds of great quality photos and lots are from Malcolm Button, these images have been slightly reduced in size but dont have the really annoying text over them, there are also more photos added for the The Skids at The Abc in Glasgow and Steve has kindly moved his copyright notice to the bottom of the photos so as not to spoil your viewing pleasure.
I have some photos from fans that I will also get uploaded into a seperate gallery
