Born: 15th August 1957 in Kirkcaldy

Bill, from Lochgelly in Fife formed the Skids in 1977 with Stuart Adamson after the two had cut their teeth in covers band Tattoo, playing songs by the likes of Bowie, Quo and Led Zeppelin at working men’s clubs and RAF bases around Scotland.
Early adopters of punk in Fife, indeed in Scotland, he and Stuart were inspired to form a punk rock band by visitors to nearby Edinburgh such as the Damned.

Bill left the Skids early in 1980 having had enough of the music business and the lifestyle and is now a successful estate agent. He still lives in Dunfermline.
