Born: April 11th 1958, William Stuart Adamson in Manchester, England.

Usually considered Scottish as both his parents were Scottish and returned to Crossgates, near Dunfermline, Fife in Scotland while he was still young.

 Stuart Adamson was first known for his guitar work and song writing with the Skids, he later went on to make infamous guitar sounds with fellow Fife musician Bruce Watson. The band was called Big Country and went on to worldwide acclaim with their music and distinctive harmonic guitar sounds and use of the ebow.
